Madoka Magica Magia Exedra which was previously announced to be on smartphones such as iOS and android devices, will now be on Steam. Publisher Aniplex, previously announced the development and upcoming release of “Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra”, a new game under the Madoka Magica IP.

Pokelabo and f4samurai, primarily known for developing mobile games in Japan, will develop Magia Exedra. Some of their past projects include Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, Assault Lily Last Bullet, and SINoALICE.  There is not much information about the game yet, but based on images from the official steam page it is looking like Honkai Star Rail with turn-based combat.

Additionally, Shaft animated and released a promotional film, along with character promotional videos featuring Madoka Kaname and Iroha Tamaki.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a dark, psychological anime that follows the story of Madoka Kaname and her friends as they encounter mysterious creatures called witches. Madoka becomes a magical girl and fight witches, but she soon discovers the harsh reality behind this seemingly glamorous life.

The IP’s previous game Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story smartphone game launched on iOS and Android devices in Japan in August 2017, and was free to play. The English version launched in the United States and Canada in June 2019 and ended service in September 2020. The Japanese version will end service for iOS and Android on July 31 at 3:00 p.m. Japanese Standard Time.
