Dauntless, a co-op action RPG that is developed by an independent game development studio, Phoenix Labs, had recently announced their Open Beta release! The Open Beta will be available world wide on PC this coming May 24th! Currently there are over 100,000 players that are exploring the Shattered Isles in the Closed Beta test with over 700,000 players signed up for the upcoming Open Beta test.

The game is set in a science-fantasy universe called Shattered Isles. Players will brave the universe fighting against Behemoths, ferocious beasts that are hungry to drain every essence from the world. As Slayers of Behemoths to protect the world, players will need to cooperate with other Slayers to take down Behemoths which will provide resources to craft better weapons and armor in the city of Ramsgate.

Sounds familiar? That’s because there’s another game called Monster Hunter World, the original IP by Capcom. The game is pretty similar but instead, the story takes place in another world with different kinds of monsters. Most importantly, it’s free-to-play on PC! They also include live service expansions and endgame activities that will bring more life to the world through regular content updates, events and more. 

There is an in-game store which provides players with cosmetics and vanity items for the characters. Phoenix Labs had also ensured us that there will be no paywalls or pay-to-win mechanics in the game. With the game coming worldwide, there will be dedicated servers across the world specifically in Brazil, India, Singapore, Japan and Taiwan. For more info, you can check out their official site and sign up for the Open Beta test!
