ASUS announced that its latest laptop – the ASUS Vivobook S 15 (S5507), the company’s first Copilot+ PC, is now available for pre-orders in Malaysia.

Comes powered by the Snapdragon X Elite with custom integrated Qualcomm Oryon CPU, and boasts a 45 TOPS Neural engine, the Vivobook S 15 is a Copilot+ that features a slew of Windows AI capabilities as well as a collection of ASUS AI apps.

The AI features include Windows Studio Effects and an ASUS AiSense IR camera, as well as presence-detection capabilities with the camera enabling Adaptive Dimming that dims the screen when the user looks away – and Adaptive Lock, which automatically locks the laptop when the user is away and unlocks again when the user returns.

Another feature is the company’s exclusive AI app, StoryCube, which utilizes AI assistance to sort, edit, manage, and export raw files and digital assets. Furthermore, the device also incorporates Live Captions for real-time subtitles.

For storage, users can choose options that include up to a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, with memory configurable up to 32 GB of 8448 MHz LPDDR5X RAM.

In terms of build, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 stands out with a 14.7 mm ultra-slim and 1.42 kg
light all-metal design with a premium CNC-engraved logo.

The laptop runs on a 70 Wh battery that is said to offer up to 18 hours of usage, and it supports fast charge and ASUS USB-C Easy Charge. Meanwhile, its single-zone RGB backlit keyboard can be further personalized via Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11.

For connectivity, the laptop features I/O ports that consist of two USB4 ports that support fast charging, 4K external displays, and up to 40 Gbps data transfers, along with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, and an audio combo jack.

It also features Wi-Fi 7, enabled by the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 system, which delivers speeds up to 5.8 Gbps, outpacing Wi-Fi 6 by 4.8 times.

Additionally, the laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch 3K 120 Hz ASUS Lumina OLED display that has an 89% screen-to-body ratio, a 0.2 ms response time, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certified and offers TÜV Rheinland-certified – while being protected by ASUS OLED Care system. Complementing the display is the Harmon Kardon-certified audio system with Dolby Atmos sound.

Pricing and Availability 

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 is available for pre-order in Malaysia from June 18 to July 9, 2024, priced at RM 6,299.

During the pre-order period, the laptop will come included with a pre-order bundle worth RM 698, consisting of a 4-port 100W GaN USB Charger worth RM 499 and 1-year extended warranty coverage worth RM 199, while stocks last. Pre-orders are available online exclusively on Shopee and the ASUS eStore.
