Developer Zynga and publisher Lucasfilm Games have announced the launch date of the next Star Wars game, Star Wars: Hunters.

With the release of a new cinematic trailer for the game, the team-based battle arena shooter is slated for release on 4 June 2024.

Fans of the Star Wars series can pre-register for the game right now on its official website.

According to an interview with Zynga art director Dominic Estephane on StarWars.com, he stated that the game has been heavily influenced by pro wrestling matches such as WrestleMania. The hunters and commentators’ personas were designed to have larger-than-life personalities, with their arena performances a diagetic exaggeration of their real personalities.

Star Wars: Hunters will be available on the Nintendo Switch as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.
