Developers The Gentlebros have announced the launch date for Cat Quest III, the third installment of the Cat Quest games.

First announced in May 2023, Cat Quest III will be launched and available to play on 8 August 2024 on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Pre-orders and a playable demo of the game is currently available to download on the Nintendo Switch.

In Cat Quest III, players take on the role of a swashbuckling purrivateer in a pirate-themed 2.5D open-world action RPG. Alongside your trusty spirit companion, set sail through the Purribean in your search for a mythical treasure, the Northern Star.

The game can be played alone or local co-op. Alongside a refined combat system with tighter attack combos and weapon swapping, Cat Quest III’s biggest innovation from the previous 2 games will be the player’s ability to sail their own ship, granting you a bigger degree of freedom to explore the Purribean on you own terms.

Players can also craft their own stories by choosing how they wish to play, either by exploring the world, meet new characters and help them with their respective quests or do both together in no particular order.\
