Gameloft, the developers behind Disney Dreamlight Valley, is making a life simulator game based on the popular IP, Dungeons and Dragons.

In a press release, Gameloft has announced that they have licensed Dungeons and Dragons from Wizards of the Coast, the IP holder, and a division of Hasbro.

From this, Gameloft has plans to publish a new PC and console game based on the IP, with it being developed by the company’s Montreal studio, who are the creators of Disney Dreamlight Valley.

“We are honored to partner with Wizards of the Coast to deliver a completely new experience in the Dungeons & Dragons universe,” said Lee Kaburis, Executive Producer at Gameloft Montreal. “We are all big fans of D&D and are already hard at work bringing our concept to life, including growing our team, and we look forward to sharing more details in the future.” 

It is also mentioned that players can expect ‘an adventure where the rich lore of this legendary franchise meets real-time survival in a unique campaign of resilience, camaraderie, and danger at nearly every turn.’ 

As of now, no information regarding the Dungeons and Dragons life simulator has been announced. However, the creative director of Gameloft Montreal has expressed their commitment to bringing the D&D experience to a different genre.
