The anticipated Season 7 update for Battlefield 2042 is right around the corner and today’s announcement unveiled a slew of exciting upcoming content including new maps, weapons, gadgets, and more.

Battlefield 2042 Season 7 is titled “Turning Point” and is slated to land on all platforms on March 19, 2024.

New Maps 

In this season, a brand-new map named “Haven” will be introduced to Battlefield 2042.

Based in a town named El Alicanto in the middle of the scorching Atacama Desert in Chile, this map features urban warfare-focused combat with door-to-door combat zones, where threats emerge from all angles.

Aside from Haven, another map is also coming later in the season via an update, which is the previously cut Stadium portion of the Hourglass map, being brought back as a standalone infantry-only map.

Weapons and Gadgets 

In addition to maps, the new season will also see the debut of new firearms, namely the AK 5C, SCZ-3, DFR Strike, and Predator SRAW.

The AK 5C is an assault rifle that offers a balance of firepower and accuracy, suitable for close-quarters and mid-range encounters. Meanwhile, the SCZ-3 is a submachine gun that can be equipped with a drum magazine, said to be a powerful choice for close proximity fights.

Coming later in the season, DFR Strife is a light machine gun equipped with belt-fed ammo with the mobility of an assault rifle. The Predator SRAW guided missile launcher will also see its return in Season 7 of Battlefield 2042.

Furthermore, this season will also bring in a stealth bomber plane to the game called XFAD-4 Draugr, featuring precision-guided ordinance, including EMP bombs and radar-guided missiles.

Free Access Period

Another good news for those who are eager to have a taste of Battlefield 2042, Electronic Arts will be hosting a free access period where players can play the game for free across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam from 14 March 2024 through 24 March 2024.

All progress made during the free period will be transferred over to the full game if you purchase it afterward.
