ASUS Malaysia Announces the Dual Screen Zenbook DUO 2024 Laptop

At today’s Transcend Beyond Grand Launch Event, ASUS Malaysia unveils the new Zenbook DUO 2024 Dual Screen laptop.

The Zenbook DUO is the world’s first laptop equipped with two 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED touchscreens with detachable full-size Bluetooth ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad.

The Intel Evo Edition Zenbook DUO combines multitasking versatility with mobility in a 1.35 kg light package.

Design

Its dual full-size 3K 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED 16:10 displays are joined by a lay-flat 180° hinge, expanding the visual workspace instantly to up to 19.5 inches, which can be used in vertical or horizontal orientations for a number of user modes, such as laptop, dual screen, desktop, or sharing, all controlled via the ASUS ScreenXpert software.

The ASUS Lumina OLED displays are also Dolby Vision certified, Pantone Validated and have a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut to ensure accurate color rendering, while also featuring DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.

Additionally, the touchscreens support high-precision stylus input using the optional 4096 pressure-level ASUS Pen, and the built-in ScreenXpert software that allows for smartphone-like multitouch gesture operation.

Moreover, the rechargeable keyboard is detachable, allowing full use of the visual workspace or being placed on the lower display for a traditional clamshell laptop experience.

Furthermore, the laptop is said to balance productivity and play with the utilization of up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI acceleration, 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a long-lifespan 75 Wh battery, and a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos audio system.

Despite its 14.6 mm-thin chassis, there is no comprises in I/O capabilities, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) port, and a convenient 3.5 mm audio jack.

ASUS notes that the Zenbook DUO 2024 is designed with sustainability and durability in mind, incorporating a variety of recycled materials, and is durability tested to US MIL-STD-810H standards.

Availability and Pricing

ASUS Zenbook DUO (2024) UX8406 will be available in Malaysia starting as early as next month, with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor variant going on shelves from 19 February 2024 onwards, priced at RM 9,999.

As part of the early bird campaign, customers purchasing the ASUS Zenbook DUO will also receive an ASUS VivoWatch 5 worth RM 1,288, while stocks last.

The range-topping variant featuring the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor is coming to Malaysia and will be available on shelves at a later date.
