Watch the Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Asia Invitational Starting This Week

HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact will be holding its first Genius Invokation TCG Asia Invitational in early 2024, with a prize pool of CNY 500,000 (approximately USD 69,900).

From 11th January to 21st January 2024, the top 16 players from the Dynamic Cup in the People’s Republic of China, and three different The Prince Cup Asian regional tournaments will be invited to compete in Shanghai.

Genshin Impact fans from all over the world who are interested in tuning into the live TCG matches can do so on official Astra Carnival Twitter and Youtube, or the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel.

Format

The Asia Invitational will unfold in two main phases, the group stage as well as the knockout stage, with both stages adopting the double-elimination format in which contestants will be eliminated after losing the second game.

In the group stage, the sixteen players will be randomly divided into four groups, and winning in the best-of -three games will secure them top eight spots from 11th January to 14th January 2024.

The knockout stage will last from 19th to 21st January and will see the eight advancing players facing off in best-of-five games; while on the final day, the champion must outlast the other competitors in a best-of-seven match to take home the trophy and the top prize of CNY 250,000.
