World-renowned smartphone brand vivo has revealed that its flagship phone, the vivo x100 series, will be launching in Malaysia today with a starting price of RM3,499.

The vivo X100 series phones will be equipped with a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC chip in combination with the Sony IMX989 1″-type main sensor camera and Zeiss lenses.

Specifications

As mentioned, the vivo X100 series is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip with 8 cores, while also paired with 16GB of RAM, expandable up to 32 GB, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The chip is noted to offer a 40% increase in processor performance, and with a 46% increase in Immortalis-G720 display processing, the phone manages to score over 2.3 million points in performance scores.

In addition to the Dimensity 9300 chip, the vivo X100 Pro 5G phone is also vivo’s own vivo V3 chip, which is designed and built by the manufacturer to provide gamers with a greater visual.

The incorporation of the vivo V3 chip allows the phone to support Game Super Resolution, which boosts the resolution of games, as well as the Game Frame Interpolation, allowing for enhanced frame rates.

Another noteworthy feature of the phone is its screen, which is a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED screen that supports a resolution of 2800×1260, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a maximum brightness of 3,000nits.

The screen is also certified by SGS Low Blue Light EX and SGS Low Flicker, aimed to protect the users’ visions.

Onto the battery life, the phone is armed with a 5,400mAh dual-battery pack that supports 100W plug-in fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging, said to charge the battery from 0% to 50% in as little as 14 minutes.

Cameras

The vivo phones are also known for their powerful lens and the X100 Pro will feature a triple camera setup, with a 50MP, f/1.8 camera as the main sensor and a 50MP, f2.5 4.3x optical zoom periscope telephoto camera with Zeiss APO lenses as the second camera.

Meanwhile, the last camera will be an ultrawide 50MP, f/2.0 camera, and the front selfie camera uses a 32MP f/2.0 sensor.

Pricing and Availability

The vivo X100 will come in two different color options, the Asteroid Black and Startrail Blue, and both models will come at the starting price as follows:

• vivo X100 5G – RM 3,499
• vivo X100 Pro 5G – RM 4,599

The phones are now available for pre-order and starting today until January 5th, 2024, buyers will be entitled to up to RM2,082 plus RM300 trade-in coupons for those who pre-order the X100 5G.

Those who pre-order the X100 Pro 5G, will be entitled to up to RM2,471 plus RM500 trade-in coupons.

The X100 series smartphones will go on sale on January 6th, 2024, and will be available for purchase in official authorized retailers.
