Warcraft Rumble will soon launch globally and to fully embrace the chaos, here we have a tier list that ranks all the leader minis that are currently available at launch.

The higher the tier the leader is, the more useful the unit is in all possible situations. A leader being in the lower tier doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad, but they might be a bit too situational in terms of the cost of gold to play the unit, versus the value that the unit brings to the table.

Do note that there are no ranking differences between the leaders within a tier.

It’s also worth noting that it’s important to pick the right talents for a leader.

S		Blacken the Skies: Your other Flying troops cost 1 less Gold while Rend is in play (but no less than 2)	Dismounts: Dismounts the mount/vehicle after it's destroyed.	The only flying leader that can be dismounted once the drake is killed. Useful unit to have when playing other flying units thanks to his leader ability, making him essentially 2 units in 1. Both Drake and Rend can deal AoE damage, and Rend will have a 1 time charge attack. Costly unit at 6 gold.
	Rend Blackhand (Blackrock) Gold Cost: 6		Elemental

		Windrunner Warchief: Horde and Undead minis near Sylvanas gain a movement speed boost.	Ranged	Despite being costly to play, she has her special Haunt trait which summons a banshee on death to possess the nearest enemy unit. Pairs well with Horde and Undead minis thanks to her movement speed Leader ability
	Sylvanas (Undead) Gold Cost: 6		One-Target
			Haunt: Summon a Banshee on death.
		Army of the Dead: Rivendare periodically summons Skeletons at buildings you control.	Tank	Will always bring value by summoning skeletons even when he's not in play. The more objectives you claim, the more skeletons you'll be able to spawn periodically. Rivendare also deals elemental damage, on top of being an armored and speedy unit.
	Baron Rivendare (Undead) Gold Cost: 4		Armored

		Holy Light: Heals all nearby friendly units.	Tank	Being an armored unit with a high HP pool already makes the unit pretty bulky. Having access to AoE heals makes him and nearby units much more survivable. A 2 in 1 tank and support unit makes him super useful.
	Tirion Fordring (Alliance) Gold Cost: 4		Armored

A		Relentless: Hogger's movement and attack speed increase 35% each time he is played.	Tank	Hogger will get attack speed and movement speed bonuses everytime he's summoned into the field which can be pretty strong when playing a deck full of cycle minis. Can be countered by air units and banshees.
	Hogger (Beast) Gold Cost: 4		AoE
			Melee
		For The Horde: All nearby friendly units gain Bloodlust.	Tank	Strong leader ability with a permanent bloodlust as long as Grom is near allies and alive. On top of being tanky, Grom makes for a strong brawler archetype. The downside is that he's weak to air.
	Grommash Hellscream (Horde) Gold Cost: 4		Bloodlust: Bloodlusted units gain +33% movement and attack speed.

		Sneed Before Greed: Gain 2 Gold when a Siege Damage unit destroys a Tower, captures a Meeting Stone, or opens a chest.	Armored	Depending on the map, Sneed can shine thanks to his leader ability to gain 2 gold when destroying towers, capturing meeting stone or opening a chest. Is a tanky unit being an Armored unit and having AoE damage is helpful. But is a situational character.
	Sneed (Horde) Gold Cost: 5		Siege Damage

		Arcane Brilliance: Increases the Level of your Spells by 3 while Jaina is in play.	Elemental	When Jaina is at play, gives 3 additional levels to your spells, making her perfect for Spell deck builds. Jaina being only 3 gold and having Frost makes for a good utility support. However she's more on the fragile side.
	Jaina Proudmore (Alliance) Gold Cost: 3		Frost
			One-Target
			Ranged
		Earthen Might: Your Horde troops have 20& increased Health.	Tank	Large AoE damage, and also stuns enemies. Being able to passively boost Horde unit's HP is also a plus. However, being at 5 gold cost without any resistant or armor makes Cairne mediocre at soaking up damage.
	Cairne Bloodhoof (Horde) Gold Cost: 5		Attack Stun
			AoE
			Melee
		Banner of Flame: Nearby enemies take 50% more Elemental damage.	Tank	Drakkisath let's you deal 50% more elemental damage around him. While also being able to deal elemental damage, it means that he will deal at least 100% damage to any unit. Making him synergise well with Minis like the S.A.F.E pilot. The downside is that Drakkisath is a very slow unit and is unable to deal with air units.
	General Drakkisath (Blackrock) Gold Cost: 5		Elemental
			Resistant
			One-Target

		March of the Murlocs: For 5 seconds after deploying, summon a Murloc Tidehunter for each Gold spent on other minis.	Fast	Can be considered to have the most broken ability in the game since it can summon a Murloc Tidehunter for each Gold spent on other minis. However, you'll need to bank up and find the right opportunity to spam your gold when opponents don't have the means to deal AoE damage.
	Old Murk-Eye (Beast) Gold Cost: 4		Elemental
			AoE
			Ranged
B		Dark Ritual: Thalnos gains 1 Level for each Spell you play, until death.	Elemental	The best elemental AoE ranged leader, but 4 gold cost is bit on the pricier side. Thalnos will inherently level up everytime a spell is played, and if you have multiple Thalnos at play, they'll all level up at the same time. However, he's very fragile and moves very slowly.
	Bloodmage Thalnos (Undead) Gold Cost: 4		AoE
			Ranged
		Master Assassin: Maiev's cost is reduced by 1 for each Unbound troop you play.	Stealth	The 6 Gold cost is a steep price to pay, but every time you play an unbound mini, the gold cost will reduce by 1, making Maiev a strong choice when you have multiple Unbound units to play. She's also a stealth unit and also has access to an AoE attack which can also deal with air units. However, she has a long summoning animation before she starts attacking and moving and is also quite fragile.
	Maiev Shadowsong (Alliance) Gold Cost: 6		Unbound
			AoE
			Melee
C		Spirit Tangle: Your Minis in hand share the same cost.	Percent Damage	The cheapest leader to play and has access to percent damage and can root enemies. The biggest catch with Charlga however is that his leader ability Spirit Tangle makes it so that all the minis on your hand share the same cost, which can be a boon or a bane depending how you build your deck. You could have an innately expensive unit be played cheaply or the other way around. Is very RNG dependent.
