Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that Batman: Arkham Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch has been delayed.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy was previously announced for a 13 October 2023 release, however, the collection is now delayed to 1 December 2023.

As announced on an official Twitter post, Warner Bros. made the decision to ensure that the collection can provide the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch.

“More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch,” said in the official statement.

“We apologize to fans who are excited to play this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your patience.”

Aptly titled Batman: Arkham Trilogy, the collection includes the critically acclaimed series by developers Rocksteady Studios, namely Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight.

Despite being part of the series, the prequel Batman: Arkham Origins will not be included in the collection as it was developed by Warner Bros. Montréal.

The collection also includes all DLCs for each of the respective games, such as the Insane Night and Prey in the Darkness packs for Batman: Arkham Asylum, adding 2 combat maps and 2 stealth challenges.

For Batman: Arkham City, the DLCs will feature Catwoman, Nightwing, and Robin as playable characters, a variety of skins, challenge maps, as well as the Harley Quinn’s Revenge story expansion.

On the other hand, Batman: Arkham Knight will come with The Season of Infamy missions as well as multiple Batman: Arkham episodes for each key character such as a chapter for Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Red Hood.

After the delay, Batman: Arkham Trilogy is slated to release on 1 December 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
