EA Sports UFC5 To Release Late October

Electronic Arts Inc have announced that EA Sports UFC5 will be launching on 27th October, 2023 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

“UFC 5 is the most realistic MMA experience fans can have outside of the Octagon,” said UFC President Dana White. “This game is incredible and truly a next-generation UFC experience.

Frostbite Engine enhances the EA Sports UFC MMA realism with 60 frames-per-second rending and gameplay simulation. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will be debuting as the cover athlete for the UFC 5 Deluxe Edition.

Meanwhile, UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and former UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will be the cover athletes for the Standard Edition box art.

EA Sports UFC5 will be developed on the Frostbite Engine and features all new Real Impact System. The addition of this system as well as many requested community upgrades provides UFC 5 with title-over-title enhancement.

Cinematic K.O. replays showcase fight-ending finishes with intensified visuals. Presented in super slow motion with cinematic angles and lighting, the impact of fight-ending shots represents the highlight reel moments that recaptures the drama of a UFC fight.

New Strikes and Hit Reactions

New Strike animations emulate heavy hitters, professional kickboxers, with new motion variations for ground and pound elbows, spinning attacks, body punches and calf kicks. The Hit Reaction animations and physics during frenetic fight can initiate clean connection impacts.

Seamless Submissions

Revamped Seamless Submissions extend the existing grappling system with faster animation transitions and the removal of mini games. Assist aids beginners, while veterans can explore deeper layers. Seamless submissions will provide a smoother, authentic ground game for grappling enthusiasts.

Fight Week and Alter Egos

UFC5’s launch includes a revamped live service with features like Fight Week and Fight Picks, which are tied to real-world UFC events. Alter Egos are new versions of top fighters which capture authentic career-defining moments and provide alternative looks and associated abilities.
