Publisher DANGEN Entertainment had officially announced the Nintendo Switch and Xbox console release date for Abomi Nation, a monster-taming roguelite from developers Orange Pylon Games.

As announced, Abomi Nation will become available on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One digitally on 28 September 2023.

Inspired by the Nuzlocke challenge from the community for the Pokémon games, Abomi Nation is a monster-taming roguelite that features a unique mix of characters and gameplay systems with the aim of providing a replayable and customizable experience.

As a roguelite game, Abomi Nation has an ever-changing world with its islands transforming with each new run, providing a unique experience for each playthrough through fresh challenges, new NPCs to speak to, and unfamiliar environments to explore.

Furthermore, as players explore new areas, they can unlock new Abomi forms and access a variety of items.

The Heart of Abomi Nation

The core of Abomi Nation is its turn-based combat system, where the mastery of elements and the understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of enemies play a key to success.

Featuring over 175 Abomis, each offering special abilities and charm for players to befriend and form their dream team.

Through the players’ adventures, the bond between any 2 Abomis will evolve, causing them to behave differently when their friends get into danger.

Each Abomi will also have different personalities from one another, impacting how they react to situations.

To boost the stats of Abomi, players can eat, play minigames, and participate in various events together with them.

Orange Pylon Games said that the game caters to every player’s gaming style, allowing them to customize their adventure to their preferences regardless if they seek the thrill of permadeath or a more casual and relaxing experience.

Bug Fables & Disc Creatures

What’s more, Abomi Nation will also feature characters from other DANGEN Entertainment titles such as Bug Fables: The Last Sapling and Disc Creatures.

The monster-taming roguelite Abomi Nation will launch on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on 28 September 2023.

Moreover, the pre-orders for the game on Nintendo Switch will be available starting from 7 September 2023.
