The summer heat continues as Helm: Aquamarine dives into the blue ocean of Goddess of Victory: Nikke, joining Counters and other squads on a beachside mission.
Helm: Aquamarine is a limited SSR summer alternate variant of fan-favorite Nikke Helm and will not be available for recruitment once her banner ends.
Helm: Aquamarine is an Iron Code, Burst II, SSR Attacker class Nikke who wields an assault rifle and is part of the Elysion Line.
Note that this guide will be an early first impression of the newly released Nikke, and her overall performances and usability may differ over time.
Skill Kit (values based on Skill Level 10)
Her Skill 1, Admire Accompaniment is a passive ability that triggers when certain conditions are met and has 2 effects:
- The first effect activates after landing 30 normal attacks and deals 131.34% of the final ATK as additional damage to the target.
- The second effect activates when entering Full Burst, decreasing the cooldown of Burst Skill of all allies depending on the activation time(s).
- Activate once, reduces the cooldown of Burst Skill by 1.82 seconds
- Activate twice, reduces the cooldown of Burst Skill by 2.2 seconds
- Activate thrice, reduces the cooldown of Burst Skill by 2.6 seconds
Her Skill 2, Aegis Cannon Suppression Fire, is an active ability with a cooldown duration of 4 seconds and when activated affects a random enemy, dealing 105.58% of the final ATK as damage to them. If the affected enemy belongs to Electric Code, also increases their damage taken by 5.64%, stacking up to 5 times and lasts for 5 seconds.
Lastly, her Burst Skill, Aegis Cannon Overload, is an active ability with a 20 seconds cooldown and will affect all enemies upon activation, dealing 164.83% of the final ATK as damage to them. If the affected enemies belong to Electric Code, also deals an additional 164.83% of the final ATK as damage to them.
Skill Breakdown
Based on her abilities, Helm: Aquamarine falls in between being generally useful for most teams but also having niche capabilities that caused her to not be an appealing choice for certain content. She will primarily excel when fighting against Electric Code enemies, which made her niche as other units may provide better utilities when against foes of other types.
Her Skill 1, Admire Accompaniment is a great ability as she will naturally deal additional damage to enemies as long as she attacks. While the damage output isn’t crazily high, it is decent to have consistent damage. The second effect of her Skill 1, however, is a universally good effect to have activated, reducing Burst Skills cooldown for the entire team. Similar to Dolla’s Skill 2, any cooldown reduction buff to the team is generally nice to have since every type of ally can benefit from such an effect to increase the Burst Skill activation rate.
On the other hand, her Skill 2, Aegis Cannon Suppression Fire, is good against Electric Code enemies but not as useful against foes of other types. The biggest downside of the skill’s first effect is that it targets a random enemy so there is no control over which target takes the damage, creating inconsistency. That being said, she will bring great value against Electric bosses by increasing their damage taken through the skill’s second effect
Lastly, her Burst Skill deals a decent amount of damage to all enemies but may not be the better choice to activate as other units like Scarlet can deal far more damage. What set her Burst Skill apart from other Attackers is that she will deal more damage against Electric Code enemies, thus making her Burst Skill situational.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Helm: Aquamarine is a good unit with a generic kit that can be useful for various content, but excels greatly when against Electric Code enemies. She is especially good against Electric Code bosses like Storm Bringer as she provides great value by causing bosses to take increased damage consistently. This is great as not only does it affect Iron Code allies, but also affects the whole team so units of other codes can still benefit from the damage taken increase.
As previously mentioned, she is similar to Dolla and may both be seen with equal value as Burst Skill cooldown reduction for teams is always universally beneficial. While Helm: Aquamarine doesn’t provide other forms of buff like Dolla, she does more damage instead and can be a great stand-in when fighting against Electric Code bosses.
Through the use of Burst Skill cooldown reduction, she can combo up with other Nikke(s) that have similar abilities like the aforementioned Dolla, but also Burst I allies like Volume and Liter, increasing the Burst Skill activation rate. Another great way to utilize Helm: Aquamarine is to pair her with Centi and Rupee for an Iron Code-focused team, further weakening Electric enemies through the use of their abilities.
Unfortunately, while Helm: Aquamarine is decent, she does not bring anything new to shape up the meta and her niche focus against Electric enemies may make her less appealing to pull for. That said if Shift Up updates the game with more Electric bosses, Helm: Aquamarine will become more valuable but it is hard to say what the developers had planned for the future. Regardless of what you think of her abilities, she is ultimately a limited summer event Nikke and will not be available anytime soon once her banner period ends.
