Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown, the newly launched SAO game, has just announced that they are bringing the game into emergency maintenance to fix some bugs. Again.

Yes, you understood it correctly. This has happened before.
Normally, emergency maintenance like this would not have been brought into attention since it’s normal for games that have bugs that need immediate attention.
However, It’s another for it to be a recurrent thing since this is the third time this has happened, and the game is not even a week old. It was launched on November 21st and has already had three emergency maintenance.
From the moment it is launched, the game has just been a mess of errors and bugs; from cameras clipping under the arena of the game to locking players in the notification screens.
The game’s source of income, the gacha, had problems as well to the point they had to disable it on the first day it launched, blocking people from getting new characters outside from the tutorial pull.
While many could argue that this is expected from a newly launched game, this game has had two closed beta sessions. This game has had a lot of publicity, thanks to popular VTubers from Hololive – Minato Aqua, Murasaki Shion and Sakura Miko – that had taken part in their closed beta.
Hopefully this maintenance will patch things up and fix the game since surely, many fans have been looking forward to play a new Sword Art Online mobile game.
