With the Asia-Pacific Predator League 2022 Grand Finals underway, we had the opportunity to speak with one of the top PUBG: Battleground teams stemming from Malaysia – VR Universal 4RIVALS in an interview.

Have you played the mobile version? If so, how did you find it to be compared to the PC version?

SuperDeeeeN: I haven’t played the mobile version of the game, so I can’t tell you much about it.

Is there something you want to change the most about the game?

Apikk: If you’re talking about the game, there’s a lot of things that needs to be addressed and changed. We had a bad day yesterday where everything didn’t go as planned. There were a lot of rotations that needed to be cut off. Maybe for today, after we’ve studied what we can learn from the games, we would go into a room and watch all of the replay of the previous games.

We will do the best for our country.

Considering the relative “randomness” of the game, how do you prepare for “bad” situations?

KmON: We will do what we can and be aware of whatever places within the zone that we can enter. We will try out best with the situation we’re given with.

What are the most challenging things that you’ve encountered in your career thus far?

MalKendrix: I think the most challenging thing would be staying within the PUBG Competitive Scene and how to be consistent in the game. We need to train a lot and keep our minds steady in preparation to any situations within the game. We have to be consistent in all those aspects.

Which region would you like to play against the most?

Zosvatek: Among all the many regions in the competitive scene, the strongest regions thus far would be Vietnam, Thailand, Korea and Japan. Most of the players from those regions have been in the global scene before and with them playing in this Acer Predator tournament now, they’re the ones that are giving us the most challenges so far.

But on the bright side, we can learn how they play and take notes to improve ourselves.

How different is it to be playing tournaments in LAN again?

Zosvatek: This is our first time being in a tournament this far from home. We have our own missions and we will carry them out.

What do you see yourselves doing on retiring from being professional players?

Zosvatek: If we retire from being professional players, we would probably go back and get a job. But at the same time, we’ll still be playing the game, but just not as active as usual.
