The Black Clover mobile game has its official name – now known as Black Clover: Rise of the Wizard King –  as well as a projected release window for the first half of 2023. Yes, the official website itself has the subtitle of “The Opening of Fate”, but the English description of the development team video says it’s the Wizard King title.

Finally, the news you’ve all been waiting for! The Video that introduces the development status and release date for “Black Clover Mobile: Rise of the Wizard King” is up now!

VIC GAME STUDIOS CEO, Choi Jae-Young, is dubbed over in Japanese with English Closed Caption subtitles for the above video. Black Clover: Rise of the Wizard King was planned for a 2022 release, but was delayed in order to improve on the game’s quality. He says the game is in its final stretch, scheduled to launch in the first half of 2023, and will be sharing development updates along the way.

Global closed beta tests will be planned for select regions to “validate service stability” and therefore will only be for “specific global areas first”. He promises more updates to come in time, perhaps with the finalized title for the global release. It’s not specified that the release window will be a simultaneous one, but hopefully for fans, it will be.
