Blizzard Entertainment has announced the expansion World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic is now available.

The recreation of World of Warcraft’s second expansion is available for no additional cost for players with active subscription on World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic features the following:

• Lich King in Icecrown Citadel
• Death Knight hero class
• Achievement system starting at Level 55
• Inscription profession to scribe ability enhancing glyphs that alters the appearance and modify the properties of spells and abilities.

The expansion also features quality of life updates such as

• Updates to the social and gameplay functionality to match with present day and Classic community
• Updated grouping tools

Classic will also feature new group contents for players to explore with friends such as:

•       12 dungeons for player levelling live today with 4 more to come
•       3 raids available on October 6th
  • Eye of Eternity
  • Obsidian Sanctum
  • Naxxramas
•       4 more raids to become available soon
  • Ulduar
  • Trial of the Crusader
  • Icecrown Citadel
  • Ruby Sanctum

Two upgrades are available for the expansion to players wanting to enhance their experience on Battle.net:

•       Northend Heroic Upgrade
  • Level-70 character boost with gear, mount, starting gold and expert riding skill
  • Pebble the Penguin pet
  • Fishspeaker’s Lucky Lure
  • Toy to summon tuskkar fishing companion
•       Northend Epic Upgarde
  • All items in Heroic Upgrade
  • Flying Kalu’ak Whalebone Glider mount for Classic character
  • Flying Tuskarr Shoreglider mount for non-Classic character
  • 30 days of game time
