ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni by KENEI DESIGN is to be showcased at KONAMI and Shueisha Games booths at Tokyo Games Show 2022 from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18 2022.

ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni Dev Talk & Artist Perfomance will also be held at the KONAMI booth on Thursday, September 15 at 2:30 PM. The event will also showcase the game’s opening movie for the first time to the public.

The Dev Talk is a talk show hosted by producer Masami Yamamoto and director Kenei Hayama and there will also be a live performance by the theme song’s singer, Kanna.

ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni Characters

Kuuta

A soldier in the Demon King’s army and the sole survivor of the battle with Momotaro on Onigashima Island. He vows to overthrow Momotaro and he undergoes trial to become stronger on the island where spirits of ancient demon warriors lie dormant, Kisejima Island.

Kuuta is quiet and seldom talks but he is very determined to become strong.

Kazemaru

A mysterious, ghostlike spirit but also very talkative on Kisejima Island with unknown origins. Kazemaru acts as Kuuta’s training partner and aids him in battle with its unique ability to extract spirits from their enemies. 

Zenisuke

A merchant that follows Kuuta to Kisejima Island and has a long and bitter history with Kuuta. He provides Kuuta with clubs, demon clothing, food and other items in exchange for mushrooms. He never forgets to take what is rightfully his even if he is thankful for Kuuta’s help.

Baby Boar

A young wild boar that lives on Kisejima Island carrying Kuuta on its back as it traverses the island. It mainly eats mushrooms and lives a carefree life.

Kanna

A mysterious girl who looks fragile and weak but strong and surprisingly stubborn. She was raised by her father, a fisherman and her kind mother and she loves tofu. Kanna and Kuuta forged a bond when the two met after Kuuta came ashore to undergo a trial. 

Kanna seems hurt by the conflict between humans and demons.

ONI: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is a 3D action game by KENEI DESIGN to be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on Steam. The game is scheduled to be released this year on their official website here.
