This weeks episode of Lycoris Recoil has started yet another drawing trend among artists, this time based around a handstand scene.
In the episode, main character Chisato is asked to do a handstand, which she does one-handed since she also has to not flash a whole class since she was wearing a skirt at the time.
The flustered expression and risque nature of the handstand scene from Lycoris Recoil has naturally activated the neurons of artists online, who are drawing all their favorite characters handstanding and being equally unprepared clothing wise to do so.
Some are even using the #LycorisChallenge hashtag, with many more simply assuming drawing flustered upside-down anime girls fighting the force of gravity was just the new trend.
Naturally, as with all trends, a lot of the fun for some artists comes from redrawing it to feature their favorite characters, such as the case with one Quintessential Quintuplets fan:
Of course, why not take the opportunity to flex on them by actually doing a handstand instead:
Admittedly, unlike other trends, this one’s a lot harder to actually seek out- Handstand isn’t exactly a unique term, and the lack of an organized hashtag means that people will likely just see it as the next cool trend to draw.
Lycoris Recoil has been one of the biggest anime this season, alongside Call of the Night and a new season of Made In Abyss.
