Steelrising Beta now available for those who pre-ordered

Steelrising is playable ahead of its 8 September launch with the beta available today as of 10:00 AM CEST, 25 August, for those who pre-ordered the game. The game will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S.

The Steelrising beta will have two levels: Saint Cloud and Les Invalides. Try out builds, weapons, and figure out your playstyle for the game’s launch! The Spiders team has recreated a 18th century Paris, with the Hôtel des Invalides or the Château de Saint Cloud now open for exploration. The rest of Paris will have to wait till launch day, but you can peek at the trailer to get more glimpses of both present-day emblematic monuments – the Louvre, Notre-Dame de Paris or Les Invalides – as well as those which have since disappeared – the Grand Chatelet, the Pont au Change or the famous Bastille.

Experience an alternate history in Steelrising in 1789, the year of the Storming of the Bastille, and the start of the monarchy’s downfall. What if King Louis XIV’s love for clockmaking led him to building an army of robots that can quell this insurrection? The rebels will burn and bleed in Paris; men, women, and children all systematically massacred.

Aegis, an automaton dancer originally crafted for the Court’s pleasure, is now a warrior tasked to be Marie-Antoinette’s bodyguard. The Queen has ordered Aegis to cut through Paris, and as the player, your skills will be tested against these mechanical enemies. “Such is the price to pay for those who want to change the course of history.”
