Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be having a collaboration with fellow Square Enix property, Triangle Strategy! The announcement – available on Twitter here – is presently only for the Japanese release, so players of the upcoming global release can relax for a bit longer.

The Triangle Strategy collab will bring new characters and content to Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, as you might expect, when it goes live 28 July 2022. The previous Bravely Default collab introduced permanent content, while the NieR Automata one did not. A livestream is expected in the coming days to reveal the relevant information and potentially any upcoming updates that will be coming to the game.

At present, the English version will be launching 27 July 2022, with a pre-download on 26 July. Pre-registrations are currently live, offering rewards such as Leaves, Experience Nuts, Gold Guidestones, the Pursuer’s Gloves equipment and what should be Gems, the premium currency for gacha pulls. The Guidestones were available as a 500,000 pre-registrations milestone reward, so one can only presume the following goodies will be available at 1 million and above.
