A scam for Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), free open-source software for video recording and streaming has been circulating around the internet, primarily as an ad on Google Search for ‘OBS’.
The fake scam appears as an ad to download OBS however when clicked will begin to download malware that can compromise a computer.
The official OBS Twitter account has posted a warning for the scam ads stating that they are not produced by them and that you should download OBS from their official website.

OBS is a popular software among streamers and professional gamers. The software is also available on Steam. If you wish to buy it, you can safely download it there.
With this scam in mind, it is best to watch out for any OBS advertisements that you see online or over social and be sure to report them to the platform that you are using. In general, it’s good to not click on ads if you aren’t familiar with them and can’t verify their creator.
