From FuRyu and NIS America comes Monark, a dark, high school JRPG now available in English on PC via Steam, Switch, PS4 and PS5.

A free demo of the game was made available last month January 26, 2022, where players could progress until Chapter 1 of the game. Feel free to give the demo a shot before deciding on purchasing the full game. Players can continue the story in the full game by transferring their demo save data, too.

Developed by staff who worked on early Shin Megami Tensei titles, Monark was first announced as a cryptic “new school RPG” back in June 2021. It also featured character designs from so-bin who served as the illustrator for the Overlord light novel series. Monark first released in Japan on October 14 that same year.

The game is described as such:

Could you face yourself and the threats around you to save the ones you love? Shin Mikado Academy is engulfed in a madness-inducing Mist, and only you can save everyone inside. Develop your Ego to break the pacts set by the Pactbearers and remove the corrupting Mist.
