Chrono Cross, the cult classic PS1 RPG is getting an HD Remaster in the form of ‘Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition’ for the Nintendo Switch.

The Remaster comes not only with the PS1 classic but also the Visual Novel entry in the series released for the Super Nintendo Satellaview, Radical Dreamers.

Chrono Cross revolves around Serge, a young man who becomes trapped in a parallel world and must uncover the truth of why the world is diverging.

Chrono Cross is a sequel to the Super Nintendo classic RPG Chrono Trigger. While it never reached the renowned popularity of its predecessor, Chrono Cross has been considered a high-quality RPG in its own right and one of Square’s best on the PS1.

Radical Dreamer is a text-based adventure game that acted as a side story to Chrono Trigger, depicting a story that takes place after the end of the time-traveling adventure. Cross roughly retells the same story as Radical Dreamers but with an expanded plot and RPG-style mechanics.

There is currently no confirmation that the game is coming to consoles other than the Switch however I would be surprised if it didn’t at least come to PS4.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition will be released for Nintendo Switch on April 7th.
