Apple has announced that Witchy farming sim Wylde Flowers would be coming to the Apple Arcade subscription service this month., as part of their new content for February 2022.

Wylde Flowers is your typical farming sim with a twist- you’re a witch, and you’ll want to use your magic spells to make sure you’re living your cozy farming life to the best of your abilities by doing things like brewing potions or even stopping time to get more done.

The game is developed by Studio Drydock, helmed by The Sims veterans Amanda Schofield and Alex Holkner.

“We were passionate about creating an experience with characters that felt like real people, and where players could see themselves represented. We also wanted to build a deep, rich storyline at the heart of Wylde Flowers, without the centering of combat that drives a lot of other games”, Schofeild says.

“I’ve always loved the life simulation genre, and the team has taken this as an opportunity to explore it in a new way. Believable characters with interwoven lives, living in a small town where magic and witches exist was such a rich tapestry to create. We were able to give so many characters fascinating story arcs, with choices that quite literally empower the players”.

While they haven’t gone into explicit detail, the game’s Apple Arcade description even implies a romance system for the Witch looking for love in their life.

Life in the magical farming simulation Wylde Flowers isn’t quite what it seems. As a big-city transplant who also happens to be a witch, you’ll set out to revive your grandmother’s farm. Your powers come in pretty handy: Brew up potions to speed tomato growth, cast a spell to stop time and finish errands—or leave the incantations behind and just get to know the locals (and maybe fall in love). Life moves fast, but in Wylde Flowers, it doesn’t have to.
