[ Guide ] Genshin Impact: Descending into Enkanomiya

Enkanomiya is the newest area to Genshin Impact, a place slumbering under Watatsumi Island. This guide will take you through the main unlocks and its puzzles.

THE STILL WATER’S FLOW

This World Quest will get you started on getting you into the depths. Talk to Tsukuyo at the Sangonomiya Shrine who will get you to unlock the other altars. You don’t need to fight the enemies; running past them to grab the sigils are fine.

THE ENTRANCE TO TOKOYO

You won’t be able to light up the Enkanomiya map yet, so this could be potentially disorienting. You need to find the five sigils to unlock the next area. Use the waypoint as a reference point if you need to. The sigils you need are marked by these candles, which you may miss.

FROM DUSK TO DAWN IN BYAKUYAKOKU

You’ll be led further in, needing to glide across chasms. Having the Red Feather Fan and ways to elevate yourself (either though placing constructs or with characters like Venti / Kazuha) can be useful.

THE SUBTERRANEAN TRIALS OF DRAKE AND SERPENT

Defeat the enemies to proceed. Attack the triangular mechanism to open the passageway and speak to Enjou. Investigate the Inscribed Map, and Enkanomiya’s map will finally be lit up. Now, it’s time to put together the puzzle pieces.

GETTING THE GOLDEN BRIDLE

Make your way to the marked area and hit the mechanisms to move the walls. Claim the Golden Bridle from the chest.

These glowing orbs work similarly to Phase Gates, so you can move through them and get floated over. You just need to make your way over and progress through the dialogue to start the next part of the quest.

THE TRIAL OF DRAKE AND SERPENT

Make your way to the Evernight Temple. Investigate these glowing spots to move on to the next step.

The entrance to the secret room is guarded by wolf whelps. Interact with the blue mechanism to open up the room. Once inside, the triangular mechanism can only be attacked in Whitenight. Do so, and move the wall to this position. Then, use the levers on the walls to move the other gates to access the room. The fragment will be guarded by more wolves.

THE HEART OF OUROBOROS

Find the mechanism to turn it into Evernight, then just walk through the barrier. Once you activate the secret message, it tells you the order in which you need to touch the barriers. Once done, you can claim the next fragment.

DREAMS IN THE GAPS

Attack the mechanism to gain entry.

You can follow the seelie to guide you to through the next room. You’ll need to interact with the mechanism to change it to Whitenight to access the chest. The place of Essence Worship is tuned to Evernight, so that you can attack the next triangular mechanism to allow you to follow the seelie and grab another chest.

FINAL TRIAL

Return to the Dainichi Mikoshi. If Aru does not show up, you need to switch back to Evernight, and you can do so with the mechanism at the center. Head down for a fight against the trio of Bathysmal Vishap.

You have one final fight against a Pyro Abyss Lector.

Once the fights are over, you’ll be able to obtain the Bloodbranch Coral. Return to Tsukuyo and the questline ends.
