007 First Light Launches on March 2026 with Four Editions

IO Interactive has revealed that 007 First Light will launch worldwide on March 27, 2026. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Moreover, the studio released a 35-minute gameplay showcase, giving fans a detailed look at James Bond’s reimagined origin story.

To mark the announcement, IO Interactive released a gameplay trailer and a 35-minute showcase. These previews highlight Bond’s gadgets, high-speed combat, and cinematic spy action.

Multiple Editions for Fans and Collectors

Players will be able to choose from four editions, each designed for different types of players. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 (RM322) and includes the base game. Additionally, digital pre-orders offer 24 hours of early access, a free Deluxe upgrade, four exclusive outfits, and one weapon skin.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99 (RM368), is digital-only. It comes with everything in the Standard Edition and also includes the “Gleaming Pack” gadget skins. Furthermore, players will receive extra outfits such as Day of the Dead and Gentleman Operator.

For collectors, the Specialist Edition is a physical release and Amazon exclusive, priced at $69.99 (RM322). Besides the Standard content, it adds a classic tuxedo skin. Notably, the Switch 2 version ships on a game-key card instead of a cartridge.

Finally, the Legacy Edition costs $299.99 (RM1,380) and serves as the ultimate collector’s version. Alongside the base content, it includes a Golden Gun figurine, a steel case, and the Obsidian Gold suit with Golden Gun weapon skin. However, this version will not be available for Switch 2 or the Epic Games Store.

A Fresh Take on James Bond

IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak emphasized that this game represents a bold new direction. “We’re building a wholly original James Bond experience from the ground up, one that blends espionage with bold spectacle,” Abrak explained.

Because of this approach, gameplay focuses on immersion. Players can combine stealth, action, and creative strategies to finish missions in their preferred style. Consequently, each mission offers unique possibilities.

The Story of a Young Agent

In this reimagining, James Bond begins as a young naval air crewman. After a heroic act, he is recruited into MI6’s Double 0 program. Soon, however, his mission to stop a rogue agent ends in tragedy.

Therefore, Bond must work alongside his reluctant mentor Greenway. Together, they uncover a deep conspiracy and attempt to stop a coup threatening the state. As a result, players can expect a gripping espionage story filled with tension.
