Kuro Games has officially revealed Wuthering Waves Version 2.5, titled “Unfading Melody of Life”, set to launch across all platforms on July 24, 2025.

This major update not only brings new content but also adds full compatibility with the Steam Deck, making it more accessible for on-the-go players.

New Main Quest: Chapter II, Act VII – Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens

The update introduces Chapter II Act VII – Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens, with the questline Overture – Rust, Sword and the Sun guiding players deeper into the sci-fi universe. This chapter follows the journey of the newly introduced character Phrolova to a mysterious new area known as the Fabricatorium of the Deep, promising more narrative depth and exploration.

Free Redemption Codes – Claim 300 Astrite!

Kuro Games shared three redemption codes during the livestream, giving players a total of 300 Astrite for free. Make sure to redeem them before they expire:

Phrolova Joins the Fight in Version 2.5

The elegant and powerful Resonator Phrolova takes center stage in two summoning banners:

• Requiem Without End
• Neptune’s Lullaby

Alongside Phrolova, new 5-star weapons like the Lethean Elegy will be added to the pool, giving players new tools for building optimal loadouts.

There are also rerun banners for fan favourites. The banner schedule is split into two phases:

• Phase I:

  • Phrolova

  • Roccia

• Phase II:

  • Brant

  • Canterella

New Echoes and Nightmare Variants

Echo collectors, rejoice! Version 2.5 adds a range of new Echoes and Echo variants:

• Reminiscence: Fenrico
• Nightmare versions of Hecate, Tambourinist, Glacio Predator, and Havoc Warrior
• Phantom Echo: Nightmare Inferno Rider

To complement these additions, a brand-new Sonata Effect called Dream of the Lost enhances Crit Rate and Echo Skill damage under specific conditions.

System Upgrades and Quality of Life Improvements

Kuro Games is refining the gameplay loop with several system changes:

• Echo Management Plans: Automatically lock or discard Echoes based on player-defined rules in the Data Bank.
• Sync Tuning: Combine Echo upgrading and tuning into one seamless process.
• Expanded Loadouts: Set up to 10 preset team configurations.
• Resonator Audio Toggle: Mute specific character skill themes for a more immersive or relaxed battlefield experience.

In-Game Events to Watch Out For

Several limited-time events are going live with the 2.5 update, offering plenty of rewards and unique challenges:

• Echo Dreamland

  • Phrolova takes charge as manager of Echo Dreamland.

  • Players must help develop the area using strategic gameplay decisions.

• Overflowing Picture Book

  • Solve advanced Overflowing Palettes puzzles across Rinascita.

  • Expect tougher challenges and greater rewards.

• Deep Sea Survey (Photo Collection Event)

  • Explore the map and take specific photos.

  • Earn Astrite by completing photography objectives.

• 7-Day Login Event

  • Log in daily to claim rewards.

  • Receive 5 Radiant Tides and 5 Lustrous Tides over 7 days.
