Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is adding one of gaming’s most recognizable characters with its PAC-MAN DLC, bringing the yellow pellet-eater and his ghostly rivals to the racing game.
The DLC pack includes PAC-MAN and Blinky as playable racers, with additional ghost skins for Inky, Pinky, and Clyde. The PAC-MAN content drop features the PAC-MAN Mobile, a handling-type racing machine styled after the character’s look. The red convertible sports PAC-MAN branding on its sides and yellow wheels that match the character’s iconic color scheme.
Players can customize their vehicles with PAC-MAN-themed paint jobs and decals. The DLC also includes a special horn called “TURN-TO-BLUE,” which transforms the ghost racers into their vulnerable blue forms when activated—a reference to the power pellets from the original PAC-MAN games.

PAC-MAN sits behind the wheel of the PAC-MAN Mobile with his characteristic rounded shape and wide mouth visible during races. The character’s simple design translates well to the 3D racing environment while keeping the look that made him famous in the 1980 arcade game. Blinky, the red ghost from PAC-MAN, takes the form of a solid red ghost racer with white eyes. During gameplay, both characters maintain their classic appearances while navigating the track. The images show them racing through futuristic courses with neon lighting and collecting rings along the way.
The PAC-MAN Mobile handles differently from speed or acceleration-focused machines. As a handling-type vehicle, it offers better cornering and control around tight turns, which fits the maze-navigation roots of the PAC-MAN series.

PAC-MAN first appeared in arcades in 1980 and became one of the most successful video game characters of all time. Created by Namco designer Toru Iwatani, the character was designed to appeal to a wider audience beyond the space shooters that dominated arcades at the time. The simple concept of eating dots while avoiding ghosts became a worldwide phenomenon.
The collaboration between SEGA’s Sonic franchise and Bandai Namco’s PAC-MAN brings together two major players in gaming history. PAC-MAN joins other guest characters in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ growing roster of racers from different gaming worlds.
