As you all know that next year will be largest olympic event for Japan which that is Tokyo Olympics 2020. To hype up and bring more fans to the event, the Tokyo Olympics 2020 launched a video game honouring the olympic event, Tokyo Olympics 2020. We were one of the lucky ones to be able to review the game.

Right off the start, you’ll be able to choose your avatar and nationality of your own. There is also a customization for you to customize your avatar as well. You can shape up your body however you want but it also comes in with a stat on it. If you don’t like your stats, not to worry because you can change the stats as well.  The stats of your avatar will affect their performance of the sports that they participate. Choose your stats carefully, athletes!

The game already gives you a standard clothing. Don’t like your clothing? No problemo. You can change your clothing or buying new clothing. You want to wear a school uniform while playing sport, eh, go for it!

Currently, there are 15 games modes have been offered, more games will be coming soon. You get bored of one game? Just switch to another game with the available game modes they have to offer like Volleyball, Table Tennis and many more .Each game will take around 15 minutes. It really depends on which game mode you chose. Games requires you to trick your opponent like tennis, basketball and volleyball might take a while.

Each game mode has different set of gameplay to it. Some of the game modes can be quite challenging. Some of them are super easy like 100m track, you just needed press X button as fast as you can. Swimming, for example, can quite challenging for me because you have to time the joystick on the right time. Like Baseball, you need need to have a swift fingers to match the bat with the same tiles as the ball.

Once you reached your maximum limit, you can get a power boost. Use the power boost to get that extra push to earn that number one spot. You can use the power boost in the baseball to get that home run or even use it to slam dunk in basketball. Make the crowd goes wild. Take that gold medal home.

The game is perfect for when it comes to playing your friends or your family for the great laughs or create memories together. For singleplayer? It will get boring after playing the game for a few hours. When you go up against NPC, there is not much of  challenge coming from them. Plus, I bet you don’t get satisfied on beating NPC at all since you can’t own it to their face like you would do to your friends. I definitely recommend for you to go in online matches or call up your buddy to enjoy the rest of the evening together.

There will be special guest coming to the game. Mario and Sonic will be coming to Olympic Games 2020 on November 5th. The game will be exclusively on Nintendo Switch and Arcade Games. You get play them in their classic 2D style with the game mode also in 2D! Sonic will have his own Olympic game in iOS and Android in Sonic at the Olymic Games.
