Square Enix has put together a packed Collector’s Edition for Octopath Traveler 0, a prequel and the latest entry in the Octopath Traveler series and comes packed with collectibles for fans of the HD-2D RPG series. Here’s a detailed breakdown of everything included in this special package.
The Collector’s Edition contains six physical items plus the game and digital content. It’s important to note that the physical game cartridge or disc is not packed inside the Collector’s Edition Box itself but ships alongside it. Buyers also receive a Digital Deluxe Edition upgrade code sent via email after purchase.
What’s in the Box
The standout piece is a wearable replica of the Ring of the Flamebringer, a key story item in the game. This physical ring comes in Japanese ring size 21 and represents the divine ring that plays a central role in the game’s narrative about restoration and retribution. The ring arrives in its own display box, making it suitable for both wearing and displaying.
A deck featuring illustrations of the travelers who join the journey, as well as bosses encountered along the way. Unlike standard playing cards, this deck uses unique suits representing Wealth, Power, Fame, and the Ring, which tie directly into the game’s themes. The storage case is styled after the Chronicles of the Guardians of Light, the journal that appears during character creation in the game. Square Enix has noted that the cards contain story spoilers, so players might want to wait until completing the game before examining them closely.
The set includes three metal dice, each representing one of the game’s core themes. Each die is crafted from solid metal with an antique-style patina for a refined, timeworn look. Each die measures approximately 21mm x 21mm x 30mm and weighs around 26 grams, giving them a substantial, premium feel in hand. These dice can be used for tabletop gaming or displayed as collectibles.
A mat is also included which features a newly illustrated map of the Orsterra continent, created specifically for Octopath Traveler 0 Square Enix Store. The mat measures approximately 600mm wide by 350mm high and weighs about 290 grams. Made from polyester and rubber, it’s designed to protect surfaces when rolling the included metal dice. The mat also works well as a display surface for arranging the other Collector’s Edition items or for general gaming use.
The Collector’s Edition includes the third volume of the Octopath series Break & Boost arrangement CD by the Octopath BB Band, available here ahead of its market-wide release Square Enix Store. This 10-track CD features arrangements of popular songs including “Octopath Traveler 0 – Main Theme,” “Battle 0,” and “Boss Battle 3.” The entire production was handled by composer Yasunori Nishiki. The album jacket features newly illustrated artwork created specifically for this release.
The package includes a specially edited art booklet showcasing the game’s signature HD-2D visual style, which blends retro pixel art with modern 3D graphics. Like the playing cards, the booklet contains story spoilers, so players may prefer to save it for after completing the game.
