Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle that comes with a free digital game, and it’s arriving just weeks before the console gets more expensive. Called the “Choose Your Game Bundle,” the package will be sold at select retailers for $500 and lets buyers pick a digital copy of one of three games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. Nintendo says the bundle will only be available for a limited time, while supplies last.
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has offered a game bundle with the Switch 2. The company previously bundled the console with Mario Kart World, though that offer ended before last Christmas.

The new bundle comes at an interesting time, as Nintendo has confirmed that the base Switch 2 console price is going up starting September 1. Once that happens, the standalone console will also cost $500 in the US, meaning buyers who grab the bundle before then are essentially getting a game at no extra cost compared to what the console alone will cost afterwards.
The price increase is not limited to the US. In Europe, the Switch 2 will go up by 30 euros, bringing it to 499.99 euros. In Canada, the price rises by $50 to $679.99. Nintendo recently addressed the increases directly, citing shifts in market conditions and the global business outlook as the reasons behind the decision.
