Nijigen Expo has announced plans for its 10th edition, scheduled to take place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC) from May 30 to June 1, 2026.
The organizers are calling this year‘s event a “total takeover,” promising a larger exhibition space and expanded programming compared to previous years. The expo will feature the usual attractions including cosplay competitions, artist booths, and gaming zones, but on a bigger scale.

Unlike earlier editions that primarily showcased talent from Southeast Asia, the 2026 edition plans to include more international performances, special guest appearances, and content that hasn’t been seen in Malaysia before. MITEC’s larger venue space is being used to address crowding issues that have affected past conventions. The goal is to create a more comfortable experience for attendees by spreading activities across the available halls.
Despite rising venue rental costs in 2026, Nijigen Expo organizers have confirmed that ticket prices will remain the same as previous years. The expo will also continue offering free shuttle service from the nearby MRT station to help attendees reach the venue more easily and reduce parking concerns. Reaching its 10th year marks a significant milestone for Nijigen Expo, which has grown from a smaller gathering to one of Malaysia’s notable pop culture events.
