MSI Malaysia has officially opened pre-orders for its redesigned Raider and Crosshair gaming laptop lineup, marking one of its biggest hardware refreshes to date. The new series introduces Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, paired with updated cooling systems, OLED displays, and revised chassis designs aimed at higher sustained performance.

Pre-orders are available from May 8 to May 22, 2026 via MSI Malaysia’s official store and authorized retail partners nationwide.

Raider 16 Series: Maximum Performance 16-inch Flagship

The Raider 16 series sits at the top of MSI’s gaming laptop range, designed for users who want maximum performance without compromise. MSI highlights this lineup as its most powerful 16-inch laptop ever, with up to 300W combined CPU and GPU power through MSI OverBoost Technology.

A major focus this generation is thermals. MSI redesigned the cooling system with Cooler Boost Trinity and Intra Flow architecture, incorporating up to three fans, six heat pipes, and five exhaust vents. The internal motherboard layout has also been optimized to allow larger fans while reducing overall chassis depth, improving airflow efficiency and lowering fan noise during heavy workloads.

The Raider 16 series also introduces a quick-access upgrade panel for easier SSD and memory upgrades without full disassembly.

Crosshair 16 Series: Slimmer Design with Strong Performance

The Crosshair 16 series is positioned as a more portable alternative to the Raider lineup, with a chassis that is approximately 14.3% thinner than the previous generation. Despite the slimmer design, MSI claims performance has improved, with up to 200W combined CPU and GPU power.

Cooling is handled by a dual-fan system with five heat pipes and four exhaust vents. MSI has also repositioned key I/O ports such as HDMI and LAN to the rear for improved cable management and a cleaner desktop setup.

The Crosshair 16 series targets users who want strong gaming performance in a lighter and more portable form factor without moving away from high-refresh OLED displays.
