Capcom has officially opened pre-orders for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the next chapter in its beloved turn-based RPG spinoff series. The game will launch on March 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
A Return to the World of Riders and Monsters
Building on the success of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Twisted Reflection continues the franchise’s unique focus on storytelling and monster companionship rather than traditional hunting. Players once again step into the role of a young Rider who forges bonds with monsters—called Monsties—while uncovering the mysteries of a world on the brink of collapse.
The new installment centers around the “Crystal Encroachment,” a spreading phenomenon threatening to extinguish ecosystems around the world. The protagonist sets out on a journey to uncover the truth behind this crisis, joined by a new cast of allies, including Ranger vice-captain Gaul and his palico partner Murray, the encyclopedic adventurer Ogden, and Kora, co-founder of the Rangers and daughter of the protagonist’s mother, Amara.
Their adventure takes them to far-flung locales such as the displaced village of Sheparden, where the revered Canynes are on the verge of extinction, and even face off against powerful monsters like the Elder Dragon Yama Tsukami.
Multiple Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. The Standard Edition includes the base game and a pre-order bonus—the “Skyscale Queen” layered armor for Eleanor, allowing her to don the majestic look of a Skyscale Rathalos.
The Deluxe Edition expands on this with a “Deluxe Kit” that includes an additional side story titled Rudy, scheduled for release in fall 2026, as well as several special outfits for Eleanor and her companions. The Premium Edition features everything from the Deluxe Edition plus an extra downloadable content pack offering even more layered armors, hairstyles inspired by monsters, and Rudy-exclusive outfits.

Alongside the pre-order announcement, Capcom also released a new story trailer showcasing the game’s emotional narrative and stunning visuals. The trailer offers glimpses of the Crystal Encroachment’s destructive beauty, heartfelt character moments, and thrilling encounters against towering monsters.
