CI Games has announced that Lords of the Fallen II will no longer be hitting its fall 2026 release window. The Soulslike action RPG is now set to launch in Q1 2027 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

In a statement, CI Games founder and CEO Marek Tyminski pointed to feedback from an internal group called the Gameplay Feedback Team as one of the key reasons behind the decision. The group, described as seasoned Souls-like veterans within the company’s Launch Creative Team, worked closely with the developers during the production process and helped identify areas where the game could be improved.

Tyminski stated that the extra time will go toward additional integration, iteration, and polishing to help the team hit the quality level they’re aiming for at launch. Beyond the development side, the statement also touched on timing. Tyminski noted that the new release window puts Lords of the Fallen II outside of the busy holiday period, which the company sees as a strategic advantage to give the game more room to stand out.

The CEO also acknowledged the community’s response to recent reveals, saying the team remains focused on delivering a strong dark fantasy action RPG and a worthy follow-up to the 2023 Lords of the Fallen. More updates are expected to be shared in the months ahead.
