Japanese game developer Key has delayed its upcoming romance visual novel anemoi from its original January 30, 2026 release date to April 24, 2026.
The announcement came shortly after the studio released an early demo of the game during the Christmas period. In their official statement, Key explained that the development team needs additional time to reach the quality level they originally planned for anemoi. The three-month extension will be used to polish and refine the game to meet both fan expectations and the developers’ own standards.

Key apologized to fans, retailers, media partners, and distributors who have been waiting for the game. The studio confirmed that all existing pre-orders will remain valid under the new release date.
Shun Sayuki, the scenario writer and director of anemoi, shared his own apology regarding the delay. Sayuki, who previously directed Stella of The End and worked as a production assistant on Summer Pockets: Reflection Blue, asked fans for patience as the team works to deliver the best possible version of the game. He stated that the team will not make compromises until the game is complete.

The new release date of April 24, 2026 is set unless further complications arise during development.
