Joker Speeds into the Race
SEGA has officially announced that Joker from Persona 5 is joining Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as a new DLC character. The Phantom Thief enters the race with his signature vehicle, the Arsène Wing, inspired by his Persona’s sleek design. Players can also enjoy special emotes and sound effects, perfectly capturing Joker’s confident flair on the track.

Moreover, SEGA has added three fan-favorite Persona 5 songs which are “Take Over,” “Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There,” and “Victory.” These energetic tracks bring a burst of style and rhythm that fit right into the game’s high-speed action. Joker’s inclusion continues SEGA’s push for bold crossover collaborations that celebrate its most iconic franchises.
Celebrate with the Joker Festival
Meanwhile, to commemorate Joker’s debut, SEGA is hosting a limited-time event called the Joker Festival. Running from October 24 to October 27, the festival gives players a few days to collect Festival Points and exchange them for exclusive rewards. These prizes include themed cosmetics and special bonuses inspired by Persona 5’s rebellious aesthetic.

In addition, the event transforms several race tracks with a fresh look, featuring Persona 5’s signature red and black visuals. Players can expect new lighting effects, energetic background music, and nods to Joker’s world throughout each course. With its lively atmosphere, the festival encourages fans to race, earn rewards, and celebrate the stylish crossover.
One Million Sales Milestone
In addition to the new DLC, SEGA announced that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has surpassed one million units sold worldwide. Since its release, players have completed over 74.5 million races, entered 31.5 million Grand Prix events, and competed in 13 million ranked matches.

As a result, the milestone reflects the game’s growing popularity among Sonic fans and new players alike. Its blend of fast-paced racing and crossover events continues to keep the community active. With Joker’s arrival and more collaborations on the horizon, SEGA appears ready to maintain its strong momentum.
