Developer Shift Up and publisher Level Infinite have revealed plans for the 3rd anniversary celebration of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, set to begin on October 30, 2025. The update adds new story chapters, three playable characters, and a beta version of a territory-based gameplay mode.
The anniversary centers around a story event called Goddess Fall, which takes place in the surface settlement of Eden. The event focuses on humanity’s battle against the returning Rapture Queen and includes a base-management minigame called Rebuild Eden.

New Characters and Surface Exploration Beta Mode
Three characters will be added to the game during the anniversary period:
Nayuta is a Burst II Wind-element SMG unit from the Pilgrim Pioneer squad. She supports her team by healing and increasing damage output when using her Burst ability. Nayuta will be available through the gacha system.
Liberalio is a Heretic—a fusion of Nikke and Rapture—who enters as a Burst III Wind sniper. Her skills change depending on her target. She will also be available through gacha.
Chime is a Burst II Iron-element support unit and serves as an attendant to the Pilgrim Nikke Crown. Players can obtain Chime by participating in the Goddess Fall event.
The update introduces Surface Exploration, a new grid-based strategy mode where players explore Earth’s abandoned surface. Players can build structures and bases to expand their controlled territory. This mode is launching in beta form as a permanent addition to the game. The anniversary also adds Chapters 41 and 42 to the main story campaign.
Quality-of-Life Updates and Events
A new “Simple Story Mode” removes combat power requirements and some battles from the main campaign, letting players focus on the story with reduced rewards. The update also includes improvements to speed up daily activities. New cosmetic skins will be available for Nayuta, Crown, Little Mermaid, and Red Hood through the skin gacha and premium passes. Previously released premium skins for Privaty, Isabel, and Harran will return for purchase.
Additional anniversary content for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE includes a Pilgrim Re-pickup Gacha featuring Modernia, Dorothy, and Red Hood, along with new boss fights, Union Raid, Solo Raid, and limited-time minigames. NIKKE will also be at Anime Impulse 2025 in Dallas, and themed pop-ups are planned at Animate stores in Los Angeles. Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on mobile devices (iOS and Android) and PC.
