Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions announced during February’s State of Play that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will arrive on PC on March 19. The game will be available through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a standalone sequel that follows Sam as he works to connect Australia to the Chiral network. Players will face combat, stealth challenges, and natural disasters including earthquakes, sandstorms, and forest fires, along with the returning threat of Timefall. The Social Strand System comes back, letting players worldwide connect and affect each other’s gameplay experiences.
The PC version was developed with help from Nixxes Software and includes several upgrades:
- Support for NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel upscalers and frame generation
- Uncapped framerates
- Ultrawide monitor support in 21:9 for both PC and PS5 (gameplay and cutscenes)
- Super ultrawide support in 32:9 for PC only
- 4K resolution support
- Full mouse and keyboard controls
- DualSense wireless controller support
- 3D audio through Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, or Windows Sonic for Headphones
Kojima Productions confirmed that new modes and features will arrive for both PC and PlayStation 5 at launch. These additions will bring new challenges and rewards to players. More information about these features will be shared next month.

Players who sign in with a PlayStation account can access the PlayStation overlay to earn trophies, check their friends list, and view their profile. Connected accounts also receive exclusive backpack design patches and a special suit based on the PlayStation logo.
