Chorus Worldwide and Toge Productions have released a new update for the Coffee Talk Tokyo demo, giving players a deeper look at the upcoming narrative adventure.

The V2 demo is now live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch demo is also planned for a later date.

What’s New in the Updated Demo

The updated Coffee Talk Tokyo demo lets players experience the full first day of the story and a preview of Day 2. It also comes with full localization across nine languages: English, Japanese, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean.

According to the developers, this version delivers the most complete preview yet. It offers more story content, introduces new characters, and expands language support. Best of all, the demo is free to play starting August 28.

A New Café in Tokyo

Set in a late-night café tucked into Tokyo’s neon-lit backstreets, Coffee Talk Tokyo carries on the series’ tradition of heartfelt storytelling. Players take the role of a barista, brewing drinks that influence conversations and shape each customer’s personal journey.

The Tokyo entry also brings a new cast of characters. These include Kenji, a retired kappa finding life after work; Vin, the café’s assistant; and Ayame, an It-girl navigating her afterlife.

Fresh Features and Gameplay

Coffee Talk Tokyo keeps the cozy vibe of the series but adds new twists:

• Impactful brewing – Drinks affect moods, choices, and narrative branches.

• Latte art tools – Use sprinkle stencils and etching to personalize each cup.

• Tomodachill social feed – Check posts from customers to uncover details and build connections.

• Lo-fi soundtrack – Andrew “AJ” Jeremy returns with new tracks inspired by Tokyo’s summer nights.

Coffee Talk Tokyo will launch on consoles and PC later this year. Until then, players can download the updated demo for free on PS5, Xbox, and Steam to get their first sip of what’s to come.
