Honor of Kings (王者荣耀) is growing rapidly since its release in 2015, making it to the world’s top-grossing mobile game in Q1 2017. Now its developer, Tencent is preparing to release the smash hit in the US and western Europe market with the title – Arena of Valor.
The global edition of Honor of Kings (HoK) is previously named as “Strike of Kings” and thus became “Realm of Valor” before it is renamed as Arena of Valor (AoV). Different from HoK that adapts most of the characters from Chinese history and myth, AoV reinvents them into a western background. But their core playing methods are still the same – characters will come with different names, appearances and skills but you will still get the same gaming experience.
From all we know, only Lu Bu will appear in both Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor. Some DC heroes will join the character lineup too (thanks to the partnership between Tencent and Warner Bros./DC entertainment). One of them is the Batman as an assassin that has an ability to make himself invisible (equivalent to Prince of Lan Ling from HoK).
The game is already live in some northern European countries and Asia countries. Fans from all of Europe will be able to enjoy the game starting from 10 August, and in the meantime you can pre-register the game. I can’t wait to grab it into my pocket!
Editor note: The game is now live in the US regions and you can find the download link in our badge below.
