CAPCOM is pushing out another remake for the Resident Evil Franchise?

With the massive success in their remakes, it is not a surprise that the company would decide on doing more remakes in the coming years. Resident Evil 3 : Nemesis is my personal favorite game out of the entire franchise and it’s the one I played the most as well.

The franchise has overcome a lot of different game design techniques to achieve where they are today. CAPCOM has refined and took a lot of risk in changing their core mechanics to make Resident Evil 4 for the first game in the PS2. With the later direction change yet again appearing in the PS4 version of Resident Evil 7. The changes they made had gathered a wide range of different fans that supported the franchise until today. Regardless of the fixed angled camera, the more combat filled environment or the chilling and spooky design.

With that said, 2019 is quite a successful year for a lot of game developers breaking records in their first 3 weeks sales and a new Kojima game, Death Stranding. CAPCOM has not told us anything on the development for Resident Evil franchise but based on the news from Spawn Wave and VGC, there might be a rumor that CAPCOM is pushing another remake.

Since the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi has claimed that they are in high interest in pushing a few more  remakes if the fans wanted any of them. Spawn Wave also has quite reliable like the report on Software’s Elden Ring before its official announcement.

This makes sense that CAPCOM would be in peak of interest to push out another Resident Evil remake game. So from Spawn Wave, he reported that CAPCOM might be releasing a remake of my personal favorite Resident Evil game of all time, Resident Evil 3 : Nemesis. The game’s iconic figure, Nemesis, has been in multiple game like Marvel VS CAPCOM.

Allegedly, we will have to wait for 2020 just to hope to get a hint from CAPCOM. By their nature of managing news, I’m hoping that CAPCOM would push this out in the early Q2.

As this still comes from an unofficial source, I would like to highlight that this information remained as rumor. Until we get more confirmation from any official source, we will make sure you guys are the second to know about it.
