A free demo for BRIGANDINE ABYSS, the upcoming fantasy war strategy RPG from developer Adglobe, is now available on PC through Steam. Publisher NIS America and Happinet Corporation made the announcement, with console versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 set to follow at a later date.
The demo gives players access to the first two chapters from two of the game’s story campaigns: “Dragonhowl Greatlands – Gran Dragnica” and “Scarlet Dawnbringers – The Scarlet Will.” Players can explore the early story, build their party, and try out the combat system. The remaining four campaigns will only be available in the full game. One thing to keep in mind: save data from the demo will not carry over to the full release.

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is set in a world separate from previous games in the series. The story follows the return of the Abyssloa Empire, an ancient power that was once defeated through the Brigandine armor created by a sorcerer named Lunadea. Two hundred years later, growing tensions between nations push the world toward war, and players pick from six different story campaigns to experience the conflict from different sides.
The game runs on two main phases. The Organization Phase has players managing troops, resources, and army development. When battles kick in, the game shifts to turn-based combat on a hexagonal grid, where unit positioning, elemental matchups, and army composition all come into play.

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is set to launch on August 26, 2026 in the West for PC via Steam, with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 following on August 27. The Japanese release also lands on August 27, 2026.
