NCSOFT has unveiled Blade & Soul NEO, a remastered version of their popular MMORPG, slated for release later this year. This reimagining of the classic Wuxia-themed fantasy world brings significant enhancements, utilizing Unreal Engine 4 for a complete graphical overhaul. Players can expect improved textures, lighting, and animations, creating a more immersive experience.

The action-based combat system has been refined, maintaining its martial arts roots while adding greater flexibility in combos, counters, and party roles. Players will also benefit from enhanced combat customization through new ‘Skill Books’ that unlock unique abilities, allowing for personalized fighting styles.
A standout feature is the introduction of Infinite Windwalk, enabling limitless exploration without the constraints of a stamina bar. This feature allows for high-speed traversal and dynamic acrobatics, enhancing the sense of freedom within the game world.

Character creation has been expanded with more customization options, letting players design every aspect of their avatar, from hair and facial features to body shape and height. These custom templates can be shared with others, fostering a creative community.

Blade & Soul NEO also offers a variety of competitive PvP modes, including field and faction combat, as well as organized 6v6 battlegrounds, catering to both casual and hardcore players.

Pre-registration is now open via their official website, with rewards such as exclusive costumes and in-game currency. The game will be free-to-play on PC via the PURPLE platform, with optional pre-order packages available for additional perks.
Blade & Soul NEO promises to breathe new life into the beloved MMORPG, blending nostalgia with modern enhancements to deliver a fresh yet familiar adventure.
