GRYPHLINE has released a new update for Arknights: Endfield, introducing a generous reward that allows all eligible players to obtain a free six-star Operator of their choice. The update is already live and applies to all players who reach a specific point in the main story, reinforcing the developer’s effort to make early progression smoother and more rewarding.

Player Activity Highlights Strong Engagement

Alongside the update, GRYPHLINE shared several in-game activity statistics that highlight how actively players have engaged with Arknights: Endfield since launch. While the studio did not disclose total player numbers, it revealed that players had collectively laid more than 42 million meters of power lines as of February 1, a figure that has continued to rise. In addition, more than 23 million shared facilities have been placed across the game’s world, emphasizing the importance of cooperative infrastructure systems.
One shared facility alone has already been repaired over four million times, suggesting that players frequently rely on and maintain each other’s constructions during exploration and expansion.
Early-Game Balance and Exploration Improvements

The update also delivers a suite of gameplay optimizations aimed at improving the early-game experience in Arknights: Endfield. Enemy levels in exploration stages six and seven have been reduced by ten while preserving existing loot drops, ensuring smoother progression without sacrificing rewards. GRYPHLINE has also improved Operator progression support, refined AIC factory controls, and implemented map adjustments to make exploration more approachable and less restrictive.
These changes benefit both new players and those returning after launch, creating a more consistent difficulty curve throughout the opening chapters.
Designation Selection Permit Explained

The centerpiece of the update is the Designation Selection Permit. Players who complete the main mission Chapter I, Process I: Break the Siege will receive the permit via in-game mail. This item allows players to select one six-star Operator from the Basic Headhunting banner, also known as the Five Sparks.
For players who have struggled with random pulls, the permit removes uncertainty and provides direct access to a preferred Operator, making team-building far more flexible.
A Strong Step Forward for Arknights: Endfield

With this update now live, Arknights: Endfield continues to refine its onboarding experience while offering meaningful rewards for progression. By combining balance improvements with a guaranteed high-rarity Operator, GRYPHLINE has made this update one of the most impactful post-launch changes yet, especially for players still finding their footing in the game’s expansive systems.
