Publisher GRYPHLINE and developer Mountain Contour have announced two upcoming test phases for their action game Arknights: Endfield. Registration is now open for Beta Test II, launching November 28 on PC, iOS, and Android, as well as a PlayStation 5 Technical Test with dates to be announced later. Players can sign up through the official website.
The second beta test will feature significant changes based on feedback from the previous testing phase. Players interested in participating need to complete a recruitment survey on the official website. Selected participants will receive email notifications through their registered GRYPHLINE accounts.
The development team revealed the upcoming content during a livestream hosted by Game Producer Light Zhong and Level Designer RUA. Beta Test II includes:
Story and World Updates The game’s storyline has been completely reworked with new cutscenes and dialogue animations. Player decisions will now lead to different outcomes. A new region called Wuling will be available for exploration, featuring a mix of Eastern design elements and futuristic settings.
Characters and Combat Changes Nine new operators join the roster, including three six-star characters: Ardelia, Last Rite, and Pogranichnik. Combat mechanics have been updated with combo skills, improved abilities, and redesigned boss fights.
Additional Features Players can construct and expand their Automated Industry Complex (AIC) to manufacture items. New additions include a photo mode, teammate guidance system, and crate detection feature.
Platform Support and Rewards The test includes improved controls and graphics for both PC and mobile platforms. Pre-registration rewards include Basic HH Permits and the five-star operator Snowshine. Additional community rewards unlock when the game reaches 5 million followers.
Beta Test II is a limited wipe test—all player data will be deleted when the test period ends. The closing date has not been announced. Players can use the same account to sync progress between PC and mobile devices. The test supports English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and Russian languages. The PS5 test is a separate limited-access phase with its own data wipe at completion. In-game purchases will not be available during this test. The test period will be announced later. Like Beta Test II, it will support English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and Russian languages. Game data will not transfer between the PlayStation 5 Technical Test and Beta Test II.
