Arc System Works announced on February 25 that it has reached an agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment to transfer the publishing rights for Guilty Gear Strive in several regions. Starting February 26, 2026, Arc System Works will take over all publishing duties including sales, promotion, and related operations for the fighting game in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and Asian regions.
The transfer does not cover the US, Japan, and South Korea, as Arc System Works already serves as the publisher in those territories.

In its announcement, the developer thanked Bandai Namco Entertainment for their support of Guilty Gear Strive’s operations in Europe and Asia, and assured players that the handover will go smoothly. Players in the affected regions do not need to do anything with save data, DLC, and online matches not affected, and existing accounts will continue to work as normal.
One thing that does change with the transition is where players should direct their support questions. Inquiries related to Guilty Gear Strive in the EMEA and Asian regions will now go directly to Arc System Works, which has provided separate contact forms for each region. On February 26, the game will undergo maintenance and receive patch Ver1.52. According to Arc System Works, this update is specifically to accommodate the publishing handover and will not change gameplay in any way.

As for the bigger Guilty Gear Strive 2.00 update, producer Ken Miyauchi confirmed that preparations are proceeding on schedule and that the publishing transfer will have no impact on it. Guilty Gear Strive is currently available on PC via Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
